My Wonderful Weekend

This weekend was really great because we went to the Atlanta Zoo on Friday. And  Callaway gardens on Saturday for the annual Blue Morpho butterfly festival. here is a quick recount of what happened on those two lovely days.

                         Pt 1   The Atlanta Zoo

  • At the Atlanta zoo Anna, along with her new friend Anya enjoyed all the amazing animals. While also helping us navigate through the park.๐Ÿ˜Š

  • We also got to some very cute  baby turtles๐Ÿข

  •    After that we visited the aviary with many beautiful birds, including one bird in particular who seemed to be trying to impress a certain someone.

  •  There were also very cute little bush dogs, that seemed to be one of the only animals not sleeping.

  •  And the last and best thing at the zoo was of course the Pandas! They are really cute and the two siblings were born just two years ago so they are still very small and very sleepy.๐Ÿผ

                                           Pt 2     Callaway Gardens

At the butterfly center in Callaway Gardens, we enjoyed a marvelous look at the beautiful Blue Morpho butterflies. Since there were lots of butterflies that had just come out of there chrysalis they had a big release into the butterfly garden. Butterflies swarmed all around me, and because I was wearing a homemade butterfly costume one landed on my skirt and another on my hand which was incredible! But they also decided to stay there for a really long time, around 15 minutes! And the one on my arm just wouldn't leave till we had to force it off. Still it was nice having a butterfly want to stay with  me.

  • To make it easier I circled where the butterflies are on Me and Anna.

  •  After that we went outside to take part in the games and activities along with taking a picture with the butterfly princess.๐Ÿ‘‘

  • The game that we played was a butterfly life cycle race. Even Mommy joined in. First you had to crawl across the grass like a caterpillar. Then you do a sack race the only twist was that you had to have another sack covering your face, so your whole body is covered  like a cacoon. You then race to the next station and grab a pair of bug googles that make everything look weird and disoriented, a straw to act as the Proboscis, and a water balloon as an egg. After grabbing those you run to this table that has three drinks you have to pick one and drink from it quickly [mine was something gross, maybe pickle juice.๐Ÿ˜] Then you run back to start and drop the egg in a bucket. Mommy made it in second place and I was either 4th or 5th place but it was very fun just playing the game.

And last we watched a small raptor show with birds of prey such as owls and hawks. After a quick ice cream break we headed home having had a awesome time at Callaway Gardens

And so our wonderful weekend came to an end but it was so nice spending time with family and friends and enjoying new and exciting experiences. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post and comment below whether you prefer going to a zoo to see lots of animals or seeing a few animals in nature. Goodbye for now!!!

Road Trip Across America

Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog! Thank you so much for taking your time to read this post and I hope you enjoy it. I will be doing different subjects such as my travels around the world and in the states and my reviews about various books and movies. but today I will be sharing about my amazing cross-country road trip!

I've always wanted to visit all 50 states and now at a total of 30 I'm closer than ever. A few weeks ago we left our home in Washington to move to the East Coast. Because we were moving, a lot of our belongings were jam-packed into the car for our huge road trip ahead where we were about to see some of America's famous landmarks!!! Here are some of the highlights of our trip

1. Yellowstone National Park
Here we got to see a beautiful sunset in the park, as well as go camping for the first time under the stars. Of course it isn't a visit to Yellowstone without seeing the spectacular geyser, Old Faithful! And the magnificent Prismatic Springs with it's vibrant colors. And last of all we got to witness a huge bison herd crossing the plains!

 2. Cody, Wyoming-The Rodeo Show
At the rodeo we got to see many amazing feats. And I even got to be apart of it in the kids competition.
 3. Mount Rushmore
Then we got to see the incredible statues of our former presidents. George Washington,Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. A place I have wanted to visit since forever.

 4. Bear Country USA, South Dakota
Kind of like an American safari, this place has tons of animals walking right next to your car such as caribou, wolves, and of course bears. Then we got to see another enclosed section for all the smaller animals including the cutest baby bears๐Ÿ’–

 5. Laura Ingalls Homestead (from "On the Shores of Silver Lake" and "The Long Winter")
From the beloved books that were published in the 1930's. Now I got to experience the real thing. I got to see the real house and do lots of fun activities like pony rides and a wagon ride that you get to drive! That leads you to a schoolhouse where I learn't a lot about Laura and her family.

 6. Memphis, Tennessee
Here in Memphis I got to walk around this wonderful city. And at the fancy Peabody Hotel I got to experience the March of the Ducks. The ducks are led out of an elevator by the Duck Master, down a red carpet and into the fountain. This has been going on for the past 80 years and people from all over the world come to witness this interesting phenomenon. Of course these were newer ducks and didn't listen to directions very well.

And that was my cross-country road trip!
And we finally arrived at our destination in Georgia. now of course I didn't document everything cause that would take awhile! But I hope you have enjoyed this post and please comment down below and tell me what's your favorite landmark in America?
                          Thanks for reading!!!!!!!
